Vipers SC has confirmed the signing of Sudanese youngster Joseph Dhata.
A statement from the Kitende-based side read, “Sudanese Dhata signs four-year Vipers deal.”
The 18-year-old, who has been training with the first team since 2019, has put pen to paper for a four-year-deal as he hopes to realize his professional footballing career with the Venoms.
Dhata, who is well known for captaining Buddo Secondary School in 2019, and helping them to the National Post Primary Championship and East Africa Secondary Schools Football Tournament in 2018 crowns, becomes Fred Kajoba’s latest signing after David Bagoole, Ibrahim Orit, Disan Galiwango, and Jamil Kaliisa from earlier in the transfer market.
The transfer had looked to be off due to the right-back lacking international clearance from the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), but this was all put to bed after he was granted his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by the SSFA.
Dhata boasts of a good crossing game, acceleration, dribbling, tackling, stamina, and excellent game reading in his locker.
Following his arrival at St. Marys Stadium Kitende, Dhata Joseph has vowed to take up his chances and also help Vipers win trophies as he builds his career.
“The important thing is to grab this chance and use it wisely to build my career and also help my team to win games and silverware, ” Dhata said.
