H.E. Deborah Malac’s four-year tenure as the head of the United State’s Mission in Uganda has come to its official closure as the in-coming Ambassador H.E. Natalie E. Brown has been sworn in.
Ms. Natalie Brown assumes this office with a wealth of experience having served before as the Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, a position she held from September 2016 to November 2019. It was at this point that her nomination for the position of US Ambassador to Uganda was confirmed by President Donald Trump.
The United States Mission in Uganda has popular for standing up against all sorts of human rights violations in Uganda especially those orchestrated by the state or its security agencies. In addition to this, the Mission is on record to have spent 970M US Dollars annually on several projects in Uganda as far as security and development are concerned. One must say that indeed, Ms. Deborah Malac did leave behind big shoes that H.E. Ntalie Brown will try to fit in.
We wish H.E. Natalie E. Brown good luck in her new appointment.
