URA FC has confirmed the capture of midfield maestro Brian Nkuubi from Uganda Premier League Champions, Vipers Sports Club, for an undisclosed fee.
The Ugandan international joins the tax collectors In a three-year contract and will be tasked with helping URA in posing a title charge this season.
Nkuubi left Vipers at the end of last season after his representatives failed to agree to a new contract with his bosses at the Kitende based side. During his stay at Vipers, Nkuubi has been instrumental in the development of the club and he’s helped them to win three league titles.
The former Kira Young midfielder was initially linked with KCCA FC but he has now ended up signing for the tax Collectors on a three year deal.
Nkuubi who is a league champion will not be new to competition for places and has highlighted it as something he wants to relish at his new club. “I’ve seen a lot of good players at URA FC and I expect competition for positions. I have enough experience and I feel I can add a lot to the club in the coming season,” Nkuubi said.
Brian joins the likes of Jackson Nunda, Galiwango Arafat, Hannington Ssebwalunyo, and Davis Ssali as the new recruits at URA FC as Sam Ssimbwa hopes to guide the Tax Collectors to Silverware.
