Tables have turned on Ruhinda North MP, Thomas Tayebwa as UMEME has opened a case against him on allegations of assault.
The energy distributor says a case of assault against the MP has been opened at Katwe Police Station under reference number: SD/87/26/08/2020 implicating Hon Tayebwa in an incident of assault on an employee of UMEME.

This comes after a video went viral on social media showing Thomas Tayebwa commanding a group of people presumed to be his employees to brutally assault a young man at the MPs premises in Busabala, Wakiso District.
“Umeme’s attention has been drawn to a video making rounds in which one of our contractor employees is seen being beaten at the premises said to belong to Hon. Thomas Tayebwa in Busabala, Kampala,” Kaujju, UMEME’s Head Of Communication, said in a statement.
