Uganda cranes u17 national team coach Hamza Lutalo has stressed that his young players can go all the way through the Africa Cup of Nations Zonal Qualifiers CECAFA U17.
Coach hamza Lutalo summed 52 players to join his national team commonly as the Uganda cubs and they’ve been in training since the 6th of November at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru in Buikwe. Uganda will be participants in the tournament that is going to be hosted in neighbours Rwanda from the 13th December to December 28th, 2020.
The Uganda Cubs’ coach has shown optimism that his side can go all the way come December 18th and secure glory as well as secure a place in the CAF finals in Morrocco by stating that his young guns are ready for the task despite being a different team from the senior national team.
‘I am optimistic the players will measure up to the challenge at hand.’ noted Lutalo, head coach U17 national football team.
‘Handling minors is totally different from senior players, but we are trying our best to prepare them in the best way possible for the good results when the tournament resumes in December.’ Lutalo, who is assisted by Brian Ssenyondo, stressed.
The cubs will be taken through the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan this coming week before Coach Hamza Lutalo, and his assistants consider reducing the number from 52 that was summoned.
Fans supporting from home will expect this new group to defend the trophy as Uganda is the reigning champion of the AFCON Zonal Qualifiers CECAFA U17.
