The Ministry Of Health has this afternoon confirmed that Uganda’s COVID19 deaths are 9 after two more were recorded in the latest statistics.
“Uganda has registered 2 COVID-19 deaths today. This brings the total COVID-19 deaths to 9.”
A statement from the ministry confirms that the two fatalities are: a 27-year-old male from Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Hoima who died at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital and a 46-year-old male, a resident of Kampala who died at Nsambya Hospital. They both had signs and symptoms consistent with COVID19 and results from the laboratories confirmed SARS-COV-2.
The most recent statistics show results from tests done on 09 August 2020 confirm 14 new COVID cases. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are 1,297.
