Police FC has announced that veteran Ugandan footballer Tony Mawejje has joined the club. Mawejje has agreed to a two year deal with former Uganda premier league champions.
Mawejje who has been a free agent after being released by Kuwaiti’s top tier Al Arabi Sc has now decided to return to his former club Police FC. He leaves the Vivo Kuwait league after making only one appearance and scoring zero goals.
Mawejje joined Al Arabi Sc from Tirana that plies its trade in Albania football where he had a more successive spell in which he scored two goals in 52 appearances.

The former Ugandan international who made 83 appearances between 2004 to 2017 will be hoping to take police to the next level .
Mawejje is delighted to be back home and playing football and after putting pen to paper here is what he had say , “It’s a pleasure to be back home “I have very good memories of my time with the club and they did play a big part in my career”
Meanwhile Asan Kasingye The CoP’s Administrator was delighted to have a legend at his club, In his words he said “As a club, we are happy to have our own back at the club. He is a legend not only here but for the Cranes after playing at top level for over 12 years and we believe his experience will strengthen the club”
