Everyone has had their fair share of insecurity. Some more than others. However we need to understand that it is apart of our lives. We have been influenced so much by what we see on social media, magazines and TV that we have put tremendous pressure on minds to conform to the standards that have been presented to us that declare something or someone desirable. It is baffling to see that cyber bullying is still an issue that we still need to address in this day and age .You would think that people are more educated on mental health but instead people are so comfortable attacking other people behind their message boards because they know they don’t have to account to anyone at the end of the day.
People are so quick to comment nasty things like “pig” on full bodied female pictures for likes, retweets and shares. We have become so blind to the fact that we are talking to actual human beings.
I personally believe there can’t be anyone that is perfect because there isn’t one definition of perfection. To one academic excellence portrays it best, some happy and faithful relationships, to some it is financial independence that describes perfection to them; which is why I speak to all the girls, women, mothers that have been made to feel less than what they actually are to wear their bodies as art.
Imagine if for once we complimented each other on what really mattered! It could be ones beautiful mind let’s complement/understand how one looks at the world? What is that that actually makes them think , act or even do things the way they do. Let us build each other. It helps no one when we are constantly battling with ourselves and others. Accept who you are. Be proud of you and live your best life because every fold, every curve, every stretch mark is an extra touch God applied to make you unique.
Let us stop measuring our self-worth on short meters. You are way worth more than that. Beauty comes in all shapes, colors, textures and sizes.
Fix your crown Queen. The world may not be ready for you but it’s a start.
