Liverpool star man Sadio Mane has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Liverpool took to their official website to break the news that their winger had tested positive. The statement read,”Sadio Mane has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.” He becomes the latest Liverpool player to test positive of the virus after their new recruit from Bayern Munich, Thiago Alcantara, also tested positive.
Liverpool report that the player is showing minor symptoms but also says there’s nothing to worry about as the player feels good and is self-isolating. “The forward, who started and scored in Monday’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal, has displayed minor symptoms of the virus but feels in good health overall.”
With two coronavirus cases confirmed in their squad, Liverpool vowed to keep respecting the coronavirus guidelines as they hope to curb the spread of the virus.
