The Ruparelia Foundation through Kampala Parents has donated 10 computers to the African Institute for Investigative Journalism.
This gesture comes amidst the coronavirus pandemic to help the school conduct home-based and remote learning and make available digital learning resources.
This donation was received by Mr. Solomon Serwanja on behalf of the school of Journalism and handed over by Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia one of the directors of Ruparelia Foundation. Mr. Rajiv and the Ruparelia Foundation were represented by Ms. Daphine Kato, the Principal Kampala Parents School, and Mr. Gareth Onyango the General Manager of Premier Advertising.
Mr. Solomon Serwanja, who is the current director of the African Institute for Investigative Journalism, is a celebrated Ugandan Journalist with NBS TV and the 2019 recipient of the Komla Dumor Award, an annual award given by the BBC to celebrate African journalists.
