Ugandans have come out to air out their dissatisfaction on social media with the way the Health Minister Dr.  Jane Ruth Aceng is not following the health directives her own ministry put out to mitigate the spread of the COVID19 virus in Uganda. The minister who has been so vocal about social distancing, wearing facemasks and washing hands could be forgetting what she is preaching to the Ugandan population .

Pictures making rounds on different social media platforms show the Minister who recently declared that she would be contesting for the Lira Woman Member of Parliament seat not social distancing and in a crowd without a face mask in Lira district.

Forum for Democratic change FDC took to their Facebook page to express their disappointment in her, “As Mr. Museveni continues his evil plans of extending his over stay in power through a “scientific” election, his health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng is among the very first top government officials to defy government “directives” against rallies and gatherings..” it read. A one @RicOkello on twitter said , “A mans character is like pregnancy that cannot be hidden for too long . This is the sweet darling @JaneRuth_Aceng who has  been sweet talking us to wear masks and observe all kinds of SOPs they’ve put in place. She is here holding a mini rally in Lira”

It should also be noted that Arcades remain closed and Boda bodas prohibited from carrying passengers s with hope of enforcing the social distancing directive to fight COVID19 and by 10th July  , Uganda had confirmed 1013 cases of COVID19 with 952 recoveries and zero deaths .
