Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson Patrick Onyango has warned road users that 9pm curfew maintenance will be strictly observed again.
Afande Onyango took to his twitter to “alert” Ugandan that there will not be any allowed extra time for road users to get home.
“Tonight, we are re-instating all curfew check points. Vehicles will be stopped at 2100hr,” read the tweet.
When it clocks 9 pm, the procedure is for Police to stop all moving vehicles as was the case when the lockdown for cars had just been lifted in June.
The curfew is one of the measures put in place by the government, under the advisement of the Ministry Of Health to help control the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
Onyango has urged Ugandans to plan movement back home quite early to avoid entanglements with the Police late in the night. He said this rule will be observed strictly again because people were violating the little freedoms they are being extended.
