Uganda Police have continued their spending spree in the current transfer window ahead of the 2020/21 campaign With the capture of a new goal keeper in Tom ikara .
Police FC took to twitter to confirm the capture of the goalkeeper on a two-year deal after beating off competition from Uganda Revenue Authority FC(URA).
Tom Ikara who has found opportunities to dispose of KCCA FC captain Charles Lukwago off the number one shirt had to come by has decided to move to Police FC to reignite his career after being released by KCCA Fc two weeks ago.
This transfer comes after Ikara spent a season on loan at mbarara city where his performances impressed the 2005 league champions’ bosses that Ikara was the right man to return them to winning ways.
Tom Ikara has joined Tony Mawejje among the new signings at the club and Police FC will be hoping to win something next season.
The news for the capture of the goal keeper comes after Police FC extended the contracts of Johnson Odong and Yousuf Sozzi for a further two years.
Following a busy transfer window, Police FC chairman Asan Kasingye will be hoping that his team can now present some silverware to the loyal fans that have not won any in since 2006.
