Uganda premier league golden boy Frank Tumwesigye “ZAGA” joins Police FC.
Police FC have continued to improve their squad ahead of next season by the addition of yet another midfielder in Zaga. The Law enforcers have shown ambition in restoring their club to glory days and the capture of the young lad will be a statement to its rivals who have undermined Police FC over the past few seasons.
Frank who is commonly known as Zaga broke on to the football scene in 2014 when he was playing for his school team at Kibuli SSS where he was spotted by coach Abdallah Mubiru. His great talent meant that he would be snatched up by Uganda’s best academy in Kitende.
Following his movement from Kibuli to Kitende on a scholarship, The 21 year raised through the ranks and was then promoted to the first team Vipers which he leaves as champion after the Venoms won last season’s UPL trophy.
The Uganda under-21 international star has signed a two-year deal with Police for an undisclosed fee and will be expected to create a productive partnership with Tony Mawejje in the middle of the park.
Frank who is already feeling at home at Police FC is looking to help his new side win great things as he also hopes to achieve his and the club’s goals.
“I’m already feeling at home here. I’m looking at developing my talent and working hard to make sure that both the club and myself achieve our goals,” the youngster said after signing at his new team.
He also sent a message to his teammates asking them to be cooperative as they try to deliver great things for their fans. “Teamwork and support will help us achieve our mission. Our fans will not be disappointed. We shall deliver and we will win great things.”
