Aruu County Member of Parliament Odonga Otto has has come out to the public to declare he ceases to be a member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and noted that he would be glad if the opposition party fielded a candidate against him in the 2021 elections.
“My wedding with FDC has ended. I want to have no business with them, will not run under FDC ticket because the party looks not interested in state power other than FDC. I made that decision three years ago. I would be very glad if FDC fronts a candidate against me, but I wish them well in their pollical endeavours,” the MP said
He also said that he will join another opposition party but not the ruling National Resistance Movement.
In 2019, Odonga Otto has represented Aruu county since 2001 when he was 23 years old resigned his position as Secretary for Youth in the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). He said he resigned the position to give a chance to other young people to serve the party. It should also be remembered that Otto is one of the Members of Parliament who were against the amendment of the age limit.
