Nation Media Group through their NTV Uganda and NTV Kenya broadcast channels will air the 2020 London Marathon slated to take place on Sunday, October 4 starting at 10 am.
The media house confirmed this in a statement released today.
The 2020 London Marathon will be the 40th running of the annual marathon race in London, United Kingdom, which will take place on Sunday, 4 October. It was originally scheduled for 26th April but was called off and postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The race will take place within a “secure biosphere” around St James’s Park and races will involve 19 clockwise laps of a 2.15km route around the park plus an extra 1345m, with a traditional finish on The Mall.
Kenya will hope Ugandans will extend the East African kin-ness and support Kenya’s world record holder Eliud Kipchoge who is poised to go up against Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele. British athletics legend Mo Farah has agreed to be one of the pacemakers for this year’s London Marathon with his aim to help fellow Britons make the qualifying time for the Olympics.
