After confirming Yoweri Museveni as party chairman, achieving the fete unopposed, the National Resistance Movement went to the polls on Thursday to define and determine the rest of the top executive.
The speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga Alitwala beat Persis Namuganza to the clinch the position of the second vice chairperson, while the former’s assistant in parliament, Jacob Oulanya made easy work of Engola to be named Vice-Chairperson, Northern Region.
Captain Mike Mukula saw off tight competition from Sanjay Tana to be named Vice-Chairperson, Eastern Region. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi beat Matayo Kyaligonza the Vice Chairpersonship of the Western Region.
