Former Express winger Lwesibawa Godfrey has sealed his return to the Red Eagles from last season’s stragglers Tooro United.
The speed merchant has returned to the club after a spell in Fort Portal where he was a mainstay in the Tooro United team even though he couldn’t help them stay up with the season being cut short because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 24-year-old rejoins the club on a two-year deal and the Red Eagles boss Waswa Bossa will be hoping that Godfrey can provide dynamism in the final third to help his new side win silverware that has been hard to come by at this club since 2011.
Upon his confirmed return to the historic club, the winger said that his ambitions are to hand his new club silverware as it is the only thing this club is all about.
“I am so happy to rejoin the club and the ambitions couldn’t be any different. We all want to win the league a feat we can achieve if we work as a unit,” Lwesibawa told Express’ official website.
Express fans will be hoping that the 24-year-old can rekindle his form that so he becomes a fan favorite after he notched 8 goals and laid down 25 assists for his teammates in two seasons he played for the Red Eagles before he departed to Tooro United.
