KCCA FC has lost its third game in the row as they were beaten by BUL FC in Jinja.
BUL FC took the day with 2-1 victory after goals from Musa Esenu and Robert Mukoghota handed them a win over the 13-time Uganda premier league champions.
KCCA FC looked the brighter side as they had a goal chuckled off due to offside as Brian Aheebwa’s strike was flagged off by the assistant referee in the 13th minute.
Following a spell where the hosts enjoyed lots of possession, and gained confidence, they later forced Lukwago into numerous saves before they went ahead and broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute with Musa giving BUL FC the lead.
Minutes after KCCA FC had gone behind and lost control of the game, Mike Mutebi moved quickly to make amends as he replaced Moses Kalonzi with Juma Balinya. this move whoever didn’t yield dividends as Bul FC scored another goal just after the break. KCCA FC was later presented an opportunity to cut the deficit through a penalty but Aheebwa who has hit seven league goals saw his shot saved by Bul FC goalie in the 81st minute.
Although Lwanga pulled one back for the visitors in the 90th minute, it was not enough to earn KCCA FC a point from Jinja.
the 2017 league champions are now languishing in fifth place with Mike Mutebi’s side looking the opposite of the side he coached into the 2017 CAF champions league group stages.
Elsewhere rejuvenated Uganda Police moved top of the table with a 3-1 win over kyetume, Mbarara city lost to wakiso giants at home to a single goal, and Onduparaka shared spoils with Busoga United in a 1:1 draw in Arua.
