Blankets and Wine has been one of those events that many revelers look forward to in Kampala, they get to glam up and wear some of their best clothes to turn up and have a good time. It basically attracts a big percentage of the party people of Kampala but unfortunately, there cannot to be a Blankets and Wine with a mass gathering because it would risk the spread of COVID-19.
Before the presidential directive to stop concerts was put in place, House of Deejays had announced that the sensational Yemi Alade would be gracing the 25th edition of Blankets and wine in Kampala. The event was scheduled to take place on 19th April but unfortunately it could not happen.
As a way of enabling their revelers to continue to enjoy the Blankets and Wine experience at home, House of Deejays together with Tusker Malt, will be having the first ever Online edition of Blankets and Wine on 30th August.

Just like all the other Blankets and Wine editions, this edition will be featuring an international act and for this edition it will be Nigeria’s Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa aka Joeboy. Joeboy came to Uganda in August last year but by then he only had one popular song that people knew, ‘Baby’. On the night of his performance he also premiered another single called Beginning.

Since then he has released a number of songs like ‘All for you’, ‘Don’t call me back’, ‘Call’, ‘Baby girl’ and many others that Ugandans will be enjoying at the Blankets and Wine online edition.
There will also be a number of performances from Ugandan artists and Djs as well.
