Express FC has continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season with the capture of Byamukama John from Tooro United.
John has signed a two year deal with the Mukwano Gwa’banji side and will be expected to stay at the club at least until 2022. He becomes the latest player to join the depart relegated side Tooro United.
The red eagles, who last won a trophy in 2011, are looking to be on a course of challenging for the Uganda premier league come next season if we are to go by the signings they’ve made this transfer window.
The 10-time Uganda Cup champions, who had already strengthened in the middle of the pack with the addition of four players, have now added Byamukama John to the roster. The young midfielder will be expected to provide competition for places as well as provide a shield for the back for when called upon.
The 23-year-old expressed his delight upon joining historical club Express FC and he will be hoping he can help express FC win trophies again. “We all know Express FC is a historical club and I have joined the club to win titles. As a defensive midfielder, my role is to protect the back four which I’ll gladly do when given the opportunity,” Byamukama said.
