Describing Hoima’s NRM party primaries as “heated up” is nothing but an understatement.
Permit me to refresh your mind a little. Hoima district is not new to controversy, a case in point being the suspension of the district’s Woman MP primaries on grounds that one of the contestants for the position, Ms. Beatrice Wembabazi had been attacked by her opponent’s team, Hon. Harriet Busingye and injured severely to the extent of fighting for her life which she nearly lost.
News reaching us indicates that the party’s voter register in Hoima has disappeared. This is not something new to the people of Hoima because earlier on in March this year, several politicians and party members threatened to boycott the Party’s primaries on grounds that the registers were missing. It seems to Mambo News, that this issue has never been resolved to date.
The National Resistance Movement’s Party Primaries are to be held tomorrow on 4th of September, 2020.
