Manchester city’s two year champions league ban being overturned by the Court of Arbitration for sport has brought a smile on the face of many city fans but there seems not to be any one happier than pep Guardiola as he’s now decided to back on anyone that questioned their decision to appeal and win a case. The Spaniard has hit back at Jose Mourinho and Liverpool boss Klop as they questioned the decision of Court of Arbitration for sport to overturn their ban but Guardiola has let them know about how he feels about and he’s asked them to apologize.
The city boss said that he doesn’t need spurs or Liverpool to defend them on any case because city can defend themselves. He went ahead and threw a jibe at spurs who had hope of making champions league places by qualifying through the fifth place with city being banned by telling them to defend what is achieved on the pitch on the pitch. This came after Klopp and Mourinho declared Monday the day CAS overturned man City’s champions league ban as a bad day for football.
Here is what pep Guardiola had to say, “Jose and other managers should know that we should be apologized to” “If we did something wrong, we will accept the decisions, because we did something wrong.” He added
“We don’t expect Liverpool and Tottenham to defend us, we can defend ourselves. And we have the right to defend ourselves when we believe what we have done is correct.
“Three judges said this, so it was a good day for football, as we showed we play with the same rules as all the clubs in Europe.
“People say we cheated, were lying and the presumption of innocence wasn’t there. Of course, now we are incredibly happy because we can defend what we’ve done on the pitch.”
