Gor Mahia FC have confirmed the capture of Ugandan striker Tito Okello.
The striker has signed for the Kenyan champions after being released by Vipers. He left the venoms after he failed to agree to a new contract with his former bosses.
Okello has joined the Kenyan champions on a two-year deal and Gor Mahia fans will be hoping the Ugandan can bang in the goals which his compatriot Balinya who is now KCCA bound failed to deliver.
Okello led the exodus of players at Vipers despite being one of the reliable players for the venoms in title-winning seasons. Derrick Ochan as well as Janjali Joseph, Dickens Okwir, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Duncan Seninde, and Farouk Musisi have also left the Ugandan champions after mutually terminating their active contracts.
After failing to agree to a new contract with the venoms, the Ugandan international moved to Nairobi to finalize his deal with the K’Ogalo and now he joins a list of Ugandan players to have played for the Nairobi based team.
Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier confirmed the capture of the former Bull FC and KCCA FC star in a statement taht read.”We have sealed the signing of Tito Okello from Vipers on a two-year deal,”
