Inter Milan has confirmed the signing of former Manchester United defender Matteo Damian on a season-long loan from Parma.
The Nerazzurri through their official website confirmed that they had signed the defender on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. “Matteo Darmian is officially a new Inter player. The 30-year-old Italian defender has joined the Nerazzurri from Parma Calcio on an initial loan deal, with there being an obligation to make the transfer permanent upon the expiry of the loan,” a statement read.
Damian who had a mixed spell at Old Trafford with highs and lows was delighted to have secured his dream move and will be excited about the prospect of working with Antonio Conte. During his spell at Old Trafford, the Italian won the FA Cup, the Community Shield, the League Cup, and the Europa League, and in a big club again, he will be hoping to add more to those triumphs
The 30-year-old Italian becomes the fourth former Manchester United player to be in Inter Milan’s squad with Ashley Young, Lukaku, and Sanchez already plying their trade with the Italian giants.
