Express legend Hassan Mubiru has urged the Red eagles faithful to be patient with new signings ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The red eagles have been one of the busiest teams in Uganda racking up to 8 signings in this transfer window. Express has so far confirmed the capture of Fahad Kakooza, Ibrahim Kayiwa, Godfrey Lwesibabwa, Abel Eturude, Mustapha Kiragga, Richard Bbosa, Denis Otim, and Crispus Kusiima as they look to stage a title challenge in the 2020/21 season.
With this business activity, it is no surprise that the Mukwano Gwa’banji fans are expecting Waswa Bossa to help the team go high up and even win silverware as they failed to secure a trophy in nine years now.
However, moving into the new season, with other teams also strengthening their squads, club legend Hassan Mubiru who was the club’s captain and top scorer for three straight seasons in 2002,2003 and 2004 has called upon the fans to back and support their new signings.
Players react differently when the league starts so the fans will have to be patient with all new players. That is all we ask of them.

He also showed some support for their new acquisition of Kiragga Mustafa who he expects to be a success for the Red eagles despite being just 19 years.
“We’ve done enough scouting to zero down on him (Kiragga). He can use both feet and also plays slightly behind a striker if the coach chooses it that way. His positioning is also good, so we are covered,” Hassan Mubiru told the club website.
