In a transfer window that has been largely eventful, Express FC has also added some technical staff and the latest to join the fray is Daniel Kiwanuka who joins as a GoalKeeping coach.
Kiwanuka who turned out for several league sides like Diary FC, UMEME FC, Simba FC, and Maji FC as also managed to manage the U17 boys and girls and the U20 boys and girls national teams.
Following his experience at different clubs, Express has acquired his services giving him a two-year contract and he will be expected to stay at the mukwano Gw’abanji side for the next two years.
The 45-year-old replaces Club Legend Sam Kawalya who was forced to step down from the goalkeeper coach role due to health concerns on the advice of doctors.
Coach “Kiwa” as he’s commonly referred to said that his desire to have a new challenge lured him into joining the six-time Uganda Premier League Champions. “Express FC is one of the historical clubs in Uganda but most importantly, am here because I want a new challenge, I’ve achieved everything there’s to win in the Ugandan football league hence the need to seek a new challenge,” he stated.
Express Fc fans will be hoping their new goalkeeper coach can help teach goalkeepers in their ranks as the club aims at winning it’s 7th Uganda Premier League trophy in the coming season that is scheduled to kick off from the 20th of November.
