The Separation of Church and state is not a principle Joseph Kabuleta is willing to play by. The former sports journalist, turned evangelist and founder of watchman ministries is now in the ring for the highest political role in the country. Joseph Kabuleta announced his candidacy for the role during a press conference on Wednesday 1st July saying God has chosen and anointed him to lead Uganda as the next president.
Kabuleta’s foremost fight is for financial liberation, citing oil exploration, minerals, arable land and other gifts of nature that the country has.
“No other candidate has stood on a particular message, mine is the message of money. We are releasing money to people. There has been a ceiling built over the decades that separates the privileged few at the apex of the income pyramid from everyone else. The ceiling however becomes less porous every passing year and the people below become increasingly desperate,” Joseph Kabuleta said.
Bringing prosperity from religion to politics, Kabuleta promises to uncover the land of milk and honey that Uganda is, saying that it is time for a leader who will ensure Ugandans enjoy some money. He further said that, “A vote for us is a vote for financial liberation and a vote to break the ceiling. It will be the first step towards a country of our dreams.”
Joseph Kabuleta comes under his party ROCK (Reclaiming Our Country and Kin). His presidential bid is not a surprise to many as he has been very vocal and critical towards government in the past to a point of arrest and detainment for calling president Museveni a gambler, thief, and liar on his social media platforms.
He is now joining the long list of presidential aspirants in the race to oust president Museveni.
“God has heard the people’s voice. I am 100% sure that in 2021 I will become the next president of Uganda,” Kabuleta said. A president with a direct line to the Lord is the surest way to prosperity.
