Facebook-owned messaging application WhatsApp has added new features to for business people to easily connect with their consumers. retailed -themed stickers, easier access to catalogs and QR codes that will be easily used to initiate chats on the social app. This is geared to accelerate business transactions after the global pandemic COVID-19 increased the usage of digital platforms and WhatsApp being one of those tools helping businesses, they had to add more features to the advantage of their users.
The new features major at expanding the reach and use of QR codes ,for customers to easily connect with businesses on the platform and it will also provide them with numerous stickers to kick off “ we’re open for business” campaigns. With these features, businesses will start sharing WhatsApp based catalogs _dynamic lists of items that can in turn be ordered by users .
WhatsApp said that using the new features will become much easier for customers to ask question and easily get information or find something they want to buy very quickly. In their official statement, WhatsApp said that the QR codes are a digital front door that make opening a chat with a business as easy as possible because before when people came across an interesting business, they had to add its WhatsApp number at a time. but now QR code business displays on its storefront, product packaging or receipt to initiate a chat between the business person and their customer.
This new feature will also allow WhatsApp users to access interactions easily with a business by just scanning QR codes to open a chat with an optional pre-populated message created by the business to start conversation. this feature makes feedback very quick and the conversation going.
