Dorothy Kisaka has been appointed by President Museveni to fill Jennifer Musisi’s shoes as the new Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
In a letter addressed to Wilson Muruli Mukasa, the Minister of Public Service by Justice Ralph Ochan, the Chairman of the Public Service Commission on 21st July, Dorothy Kisaka was appointed as new Executive Director, Eng David Luyimbazi Ssali confirmed as the Deputy Executive Director and Grace Akullo as the Director of Human Resource and Management at KCCA.
Kisaka, an advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister and administer of the COVID-19 fund, will now replace Eng Andrew Kitaka who was holding the office in an acting capacity since 2018.
Last month the president nominated Kisaka and four others to take up different positions in KCCA and directed the Public Service Commission to interview them and find out their level of suitability for the job.
Also nominated was Dr. Daniel Okello for the position of Director Public Health and Environment, a position he currently holds in an acting capacity, and Sarah Kanyike, the Deputy Kampala Mayor for the position of Director Gender, Community Service and Administration.
The President has since appointed Sarah Kanyike as the State Minister for Disability and the Elderly. Ms. Kanyike’s new appointment was confirmed in communication with MPs on the Appointments Committee.
