DIDA Sports Organisation has found a new home in Budaka district, about 200km East of Kampala.
The offices were officially launched on April 30th in a ceremony presided over by Budaka LCV-elect Emmanuel Pajje.
The Naki Kaddu founded non-profit has set out to harness sports talent in the Eastern region of the pearl.
DIDA, who are not new in the region, were boosted by one-year rent donation for their offices by KOI Sports CIC.
We are extremely proud to associate with DIDA and to be sponsoring their offices in Budaka. Through their founder Naki Kaddu, DIDA do an amazing job of nurturing talents of children in Uganda,”Koi Sports CIC Director, David Johnson Rayner
Uganda is blessed with lots of talented kids but these have been frustrated by absence of decent structural organisation to tap this plethora of talent. It is on this background that DIDA sports embarked on a journey to the grassroots to help out.
And as they say, fate pitted them in Budaka and they’ll use this base to launch activities into the countryside.
As a community interest company (CIC) originally based in London, DIDA Sports Organisation has now added Budaka to their books.
DIDA (Develop, Inspire, Discipline, Achieve) is an initiative whose goal is to holistically develop Ugandan, and eventually East African youth from the young ages of 6 years all the way to 18 years and beyond.
Much as they started out with football as they organised the Young Leader’s Football Tournament in Budaka on Women’s Day, they also have the expertise to tap into other sports disciplines like chess and Boxing.
In this, they will be achieving their vision to empower a generation of Ugandan youth to truly understand and believe that they have their destiny in their own hands
DIDA’s objective is to facilitate the development of sports training facility in Budaka, Uganda.
The DIDA approach is to help each kid: Develop their true potential to help Inspire others and by showing Discipline on and off of the sports field they can Achieve their goals’.DIDA Sports on their website
