Uganda’s cumulative cases have surpassed the 3,000 mark after the Ministry Of Health reported 65 new positive coronavirus cases on Tuesday 1st September.
The 65 bring the exact total to 3,037 cases, 1,489 of which have fully recovered from the virus.
Kampala accounts for 20 contacts and alerts among the 65 new cases, while Kikuube and Luweero account for 10 and 8 respectively. Two of the results were of Uganda truck drivers, and one case was recorded from a health worker in Kampala. Jinja, Mbarara, Pallisa, Mayuge, and Yumbe registered one case each with Buikwe and Zombo registering 4 cases each. Adjumani, Arua, and Hoima districts registered 3 cases each while 2 cases were registered in the Mukono district.
A total of 3,564 tests were sampled in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of samples tested in Uganda to 381, 749. To-date, Uganda has registered 32 deaths of COVID19.
