The numbers keep rising and according to the ministry of health, Uganda has registered 176 new positive cases of Coronavirus and one death.
The new results stem from 5,453 samples tested in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of samples tested in the country from March to 391,335.
Manafwa has overtaken Kampala as the epicenter of contraction of the virus accounting for 70 of the 172 contacts and alerts. Kampala (390, Kikuube (17), Buikwe (13), and Mbale (10) are the other places with reported cases in double figures. Two health workers and two drivers are among the 176 new cases reported today.
Uganda has so far recorded 3,288 cases with 1,532 people recovering fully from the virus.
One death of COVID19 has been reported, after samples from a 40-year old Ugandan Male, a resident of Wakiso returned positive taking the cumulative number of deaths to 33.
