NIRA on Friday confirmed that they were temporarily closing the NIRA Abim District Office after one of their staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
This result was realized after the National identification And Registry Authority (NIRA) conducted tests among their staff in various offices around the country.
They confirmed that the case in already in self-isolation and already receiving treatment. Owing to the incident, the Abim office is temporarily unavailable to the public to allow the ministry of health officials to thoroughly clean and fumigate the premises. The earliest the office is expected to be open to the public is Monday, 28th September 2020.
