The ministry Of Health has reported that a number of positive coronavirus cases have been recorded at various media houses.
The media houses cited are Vision Group which houses New Vision, NTV, BBS TV and NBS TV.
This comes after the ministry announced the most cases recorded in a day- 318 cases. The major catchment areas for these positive infections were reported as Amuru District and Kampala Metropolitan.
It is understandable that media houses are recording positive cases as their employees are interacting with the population on a daily. The population according to the ministry of health is in laxity with respect to the SOPs set to safeguard the nation from the virus.
Dr. Aceng noted that taxis carry more than the allowed 6 passengers, there are no sanitizers in place for most businesses, and masks are considered as a fashion statement rather than a necessary precaution. It is noteworthy that most of the contacts around Kampala have said that they have used public transport before.
