Member of Parliament, Zzake was arrested earlier this year in April after he allegedly violated the Ministry of Health guideline of maintaining social distancing by distributing food to his constituents in Mityana.

Francis Zzake, an independent member of the Parliament of Uganda for the Mityana Municipality constituency, was elected in 2016 and is a budding businessman. He’s been at loggerheads with the arm of the law and has been arrested a significant number of times.
He was arrested on 19th April 2020 from Buswabulongo in Mityana after he was found in the process of food and aid distribution to residents without observing the Presidential guidelines that had prior been put in place to cut the spread of the deadly COVID-19.
The Court that sat in Mityana withdrew all charges against the very vocal legislator that subscribes to the People Power Movement and the National Unity Platform led by his close confidant and fellow legislator Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi.
