Express FC Coach Wasswa Bossa has begged for patience from the fans after he saw his team sign over 10 players ahead of the new season scheduled to start on the 17th of October.
The former Express midfielder returned at the end of last season guiding them to 9th place on the UPL table before the season was ended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Bossa, who has a big reputation in Ugandan football both as player and coach, will hope his new signings can light up the league and push the red eagles back to competing ways.
The former Uganda national team assistant coach said he was happy with the way his club has prepared for the new season despite the coronavirus. “The COVID-19 pandemic has made it tough for everyone, but I am happy with this group. We’ve prepared well especially with the new players,” coach Wasswa said.
“I’d like to thank the technical team for a job well done. Every one of those players will come good during the season because we want to see the club compete again.”
The Red Eagles boss also called upon the fans to be patient with the club as he rebuilds, with the help of the technical team. “I’d like to call upon all the fans to be patient with the club. They should look at the changes in a positive way because it’s intended to take the club to greater heights,” Bossa stated.
Express FC have signed more than one player in each department of the field as they’ve acquired the services of Goalkeepers Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim, along with defender Richard Bbosa, midfielders Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Lwesibawa Godfrey, Abel Eturude, Ivan Nsengiyunva, Baker Sakah, and forwards Musiige Charles And Kiragga Mustafa.
With Wasswa Bossa begging for patience, Express FC fans will be hoping that they can see progress as their club has spent a lot on new signings.
