For Uganda to achieve universal health coverage for sexual and reproductive health will require informed budgeting to ensure that all young people can access the quality health care services they need without experiencing hardships.
Civil societies take steps towards advising the government on the realization of sexual Reproductive Health services, the country must address how the aspect of Sexual Reproductive Health for young people is needed.
Drawing on country-level from the statistics that have been published in the news, it shows that investments required to meet all needs for young people is huge and it also shows that delivering on sexual reproductive health commitments require greater investment in sexual and reproductive health.
Some countries have arguably achieved Sexual Reproductive health care already, and many more like Kenya are making progress. There are many unanswered questions and answering these questions in the context of limited resources obligates the country to undertake a priority setting.
During the event that was organized at Serena conference center by the SRH Alliance in partnership with Right Here Right Now, Reproductive Health Uganda and Reach A hand Uganda,the National Coordinator, SRHRAlliance, Charles Owekmeno said Sexual Reproductive Health Rights determines the quality, structure and growth rate of the country.

During the discussions at the E-conference dialogue that was under the theme “Building Uganda’s Resilience: Investing in young people’s Sexual and Reproductive Health’’, Religious leaders, Advocates, Government representatives acknowledged that meeting all needs for Sexual Reproductive Health care for all young people is affordable if it is prioritized by the government and included in the budget.
The panellists also highlighted the dangers of not having Sexual Reproductive Health services at Health facilities especially youth-friendly services. The question remains; is the government ready to invest in young people?
The government should set a policy that will let young people inschools know that education program is still vital and that anytime they may go back to schools because GBV is increasing everywhere and this is resulting into teenage pregnant, Unsafe abortion, Increased STIs Which may result into school drop out
